The school Ma'ahad Ulumiddinil-Islami otherwise known as Institute of Islamic Studies was established in the year 1994, with 25 students. Since then the school has been growing and expanding rapidly, the school as at 2015 has about 700 students, 35 teachers and 4 sections, which include: Secondary Islamic, Primary Islamic, and Qur'anic Memorization.
The philosophy behind the establishment of the school has never been for profit making, but, for the fulfillment of the saying of the prophet (P.B.U.H) who was reported to have said: "I was sent to fulfill the good virtues". That is, through provision of sound education with purpose. Thus, one could have the sense of respect for the worth and dignity of an individual, ability to make rational decisions, moral and spiritual principles in interpersonal and human relations, shared responsibility for the common good of society, promotion of the physical, emotional and psychological development of individual and acquisition of competencies necessary for self-reliance provided that, the means or ways followed in achieving these goals are not contrary to the teachings of Islam.
